Step up your social media videos with the final word equipment checklist of tools we use every single day here at BridgeWeb.
We board a highly competitive digital world,
where the simplest video wins! one of the most effective ways to intensify your video production is to speculate in high-quality equipment which will have your audience clicking on your videos in no time.
Camera
Having an honest quality video is simpler now than ever. Even your average mobile incorporates a built-in high-quality camera (the iPhone 12 comes with the choice to even shoot in 4k!). However, nothing beats the high-quality image that comes with an expert full-frame mirrorless or DSLR video camera.
However, mirrorless cameras or DSLR cameras offer you the choice to customize your videos to realize the design you wish. for instance, you'll be able to adjust the frame rate, depth of field, etc.
At BridgeWeb, we shoot with the Sony A7iii Mirrorless camera, the simplest mirrorless camera on the market today. this is often a more advanced level of camera, as Sony offers lots in terms of customization that may be difficult for beginners to wrap their heads around.
For beginners, we recommend anything within your budget within the Canon EOS range.
lens
Getting the proper lens can make or break your video. there's no point in spending thousands of dollars on a high-quality camera if you’re not visiting buy a high-quality lens to travel with it. In fact, sometimes the other is better; camera bodies come and go because the latest and greatest in technology is released but an honest quality 50mm lens is forever.
We also highly recommend getting a lens cleaning kit, there's nothing like having to reshoot a video because there was dust within the lens!
Tripod
No matter how good the built-in stabilization is in your camera, it'd be best if you had a tripod. this can be the most important mistake we see businesses make once they start making their own videos. the tiniest shake can show up in your footage, especially when you’re employing a camera lens.
The brand of the tripod doesn’t matter the maximum amount because it does when it involves choosing a tripod. Whatever fits into your budget will do the trick.
Here at BridgeWeb, we use several different tripods for various situations.
Gimbal
A Gimbal is an external stabilizer for your camera. There are many various types out there on the market which will improve your videos to it extra level of professionalism.
External Microphone
While there are cameras and phones out there that obtain great audio, they'll never get to the extent of quality and precision you'll achieve with an external microphone.
Having good audio is very important when recording video tutorials, live streams, interviews, or anything where people want to listen to what the person is saying crisply and clearly.
Lights
Good lighting makes a large difference to the general quality of your video. If you can’t afford to properly light a video, find a window wherever you're filming and film your video facing the sunshine.
An entry-level reflector may be a good way to boost up your lighting game without breaking the bank. Alternatively, you'll be able to use a polystyrene sheet.
Memory Cards
High-quality SD cards, believe it or not, make an enormous difference when shooting videos. you may want to use a card with a high capacity (64GB or more) with high read and write speeds.
Equipment We Use:
We recommend the 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro card with speeds of 300MB/s. If you’re reaching to shoot longer videos or videos in 4K, it’s best to travel for 128GB or larger.
IPad/ Teleprompter
Reading from a script may be bulletproof thanks to making you sound sort of a professional. The teleprompter reflects your script over the highest of the camera, so after we record videos from a script, it sounds more professional as you're still chatting with the camera. No have to memorize large chunks of text. Score!
Editing Software
Basic video editing skills are essential to your video production quality. You shouldn’t be color correcting and editing complicated cuts. Removing mistakes in your speech, adding things like text and b-roll will increase your video quality.
Here are some editing tools you'll be able to use;
iMovie: If you've got a mac, this comes free with it! iMovie could be a simple platform and simple to be told. If you wish to find out more advanced editing techniques, however, there are better alternatives.
DaVinci Resolve: This platform comes in a very free, more simple, and straightforward learn platform and a one-time payment offer of $299. This software has everything you may ever need in an exceeding video editing platform to form, render, add tricks, you name it.
Transcription service
Adding text to your videos may be a good way to extend engagement when posting your video online. consider it, how often does one scroll Facebook with the sound on?
Headphones
When beginning your video editing journey, we highly recommend you edit with headphones, as you'll develop more faults within the sound than when being attentive to the sound through the pc. for instance, is that the sound beginning evenly through the left and right channels? are you able to hear unwanted sounds within the background?
